Local therapy when you need it

We provide counselling in Newbury town centre in a lovely old building called St Mary’s House. Our rooms are welcoming and comfortable, and we are easily accessible to residents across West Berkshire including Thatcham, Hungerford, Kintbury and the surrounding villages. We also offer online appointments.

Underpinning all her work is a focus on the client/therapist relationship; She offers empathy, non-judgement and the understanding that her clients must work at their own, manageable pace.


Julie is passionate about offering hope to adults who are struggling with mental health challenges and often with trauma.

Daniel is a Person-Centred Counsellor with a PhD in Psychology. He offers a warm, open, and evidence-based approach to therapy, bringing emotional and professional understanding to help make sense of difficult experiences.


He works with professionals who are struggling with anxiety, low mood, or strain in their relationships. Therapy with Daniel provides space to slow down, think clearly, ‘get things out’, and be understood without judgement.


Daniel helps clients find a way forward when they feel they should be coping better or managing without help.

She specialises in helping women, birth partners, and couples navigate birth trauma, drawing on her extensive experience as a midwife to understand the challenges of childbirth and the postnatal period deeply.


Amy helps individuals and couples manage mental, and physical changes affecting relationships, work, and identity.

Sally is an Integrative Counsellor with a degree in psychology, who works alongside clients suffering from a variety of issues including anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, stress, low mood, shame, self-criticism and transitional life changes.

 

Sally is a qualified CFT facilitator, meaning she has undertaken further training in Compassion Focused Therapy and recognises the impact of biological, evolutionary and psychological influences on thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Sally helps clients develop awareness of their communication patterns and offers clients the chance to work creatively.
